The Drew Estate 'private blend' is a cut above the rest. '94' Rated.
A traditional cigar, Liga Privada No. 9 is one of the finest blends produced by Drew Estate and is an excellent choice when looking for a full-flavored experience.
Liga Privada No. 9 is a medium to full-bodied cigar, drawing much of its flavor from a dark Connecticut Broadleaf Ligero wrapper that conceals a trifecta of Cuban-seed tobaccos grown in three different regions, including the Jamastran Valley in Honduras. Upon lighting this rich handmade, you are met with a complex bouquet of aromas; on the palate a hint of natural sweetness remains throughout an otherwise earthy, spicy profile. Each Liga No. 9 cigar is aged for a full year prior to its release, with its Broadleaf wrapper having been hand-fermented for 18 months prior.
Liga No. 9 is the 'private blend' which catapulted Drew Estate's fame in the traditional cigar world. It began a renewed focus and appreciation for Connecticut Broadleaf wrapper leaves, which together with six other tobaccos all grown on different farms, resulted in a richness and complexity previously unknown to Drew Estate employees. Unlike the Liga T52 blend, No. 9 is more spice-forward, showcasing dense notes of earth, espresso, and leather with an underlying natural sweetness from its Brazilian Mata Fina binder.
